What I am doing with medium partner program in India ?

Note : This post is for anyone who is writing on medium.

Recently we all received great news from Medium as with other 77 countries medium is now allowing Indian writers to make money while writing.

I have been writing on Medium for quite some time now, and as thrilled as I was to hear this news, it’s not yet as easy as I anticipated it would be.

Enrolling in partner program

So it’s just a few clicks when it comes to enrolling in to partner program I enrolled just to check how my stories would perform under a partner program.

Setting up payout “Stripe” account -

• After some research I found that Stripe operates on an invite basis only in India. And supports limited number of businesses.
• It is not entirely clear how individuals payout will be supported by stripe.
• So as of now if you don’t have a registered business or website or app link you cannot set up an account with Stripe.

What am I going to do ?

• My goal is to build a strong community and share valuable knowledge, so I will take my time to gather comprehensive information on the partner program before moving forward.
• I will wait until we have sufficient information on how stripe is supported and how medium payout for India will be handled for individuals before proceeding.
• Until then I am going to keep writing and improving myself and share as much knowledge as possible with my community as a writer.
